Rights

We strongly recommend that authors make themselves familiar with both Copyright and the Rights of authors, readers and the publisher before submitting their work.

1. AUTHORS DECLARATION and WARRANTIES

By submitting any Article (Research article/review article/erratum/short communications etc.) for the purposes of publication by Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry), you must certify and warrant that:

  1. You have been authorized by any co-authors to submit the Research article/Review article/Erratum/Short communications (Article);
  2. You are the sole author(s) of the Article and are legally able and entitled to submit the Article and authorize Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry) to publish the Article. If the law requires that the Article be published in the public domain, I/we will notify Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry) at the time of submission;
  3. All author(s) have seen and approved the Article as submitted;
  4. The Article is an original and unpublished work, has not already been published in any other journal or is not currently under consideration for publication by another journal (Please be aware that European Journal of Chemistry checks all submitted manuscripts for plagiarism);
  5. The text, illustrations, and any other materials included in the Article do not infringe any existing Copyright or any other Rights prescribed by law;
  6. The Article contains nothing that is unlawful, defamatory, or which would, if published, constitute a breach of contract or of confidentiality;
  7. Due care, diligence and all other requisite investigations were carried out in the preparation of the Article(s) to ensure its accuracy. To the best of your knowledge all statements contained in it purporting to be factual are true and correct;
  8. All author(s) participated in the work in a substantive way and are prepared to take public responsibility for the work;
  9. In consideration of my/our the Article submitted, I/we hereby grant Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry) the unlimited, worldwide, irrevocable royalty-free, right to publish, use, distribute, publish, license, transmit, display, exhibit, record, store, translate, digitize, broadcast, reproduce and archive, in any format or medium, whether now known or hereafter developed;
  10. All materials related to the Article, accepted or rejected, including photographs, original figures etc., will be kept by Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry) for one year following the editor’s decision. These materials can then be destroyed;
  11. The reproduction, posting, transmission or other distribution or use of the Article or any material contained therein, in any medium as permitted hereunder, requires a citation to the Journal and appropriate credit to European Journal of Chemistry as publisher, suitable in form and content as follows: Title of Article, author(s), journal title, volume, issue, pages, and Copyright© year;
  12. The author(s) indemnify Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry) and the Editors of European Journal of Chemistry, and hold them harmless from any loss, expense or damage occasioned by a claim or suit by a third party for Copyright infringement, or any suit arising out of any breach of the foregoing warranties as a result of publication of the Article;
  13. Signed Copyright permissions are obtained from Copyright owners for any material over fifty words reproduced from another source and all figures and illustrations from another source or adapted from another source;
  14. The Author(s) warrants and guarantees that, where the Article represents results of research, and where there is an applicable ethics committee overview of the research, approval has been obtained and complied with;
  15. The author(s) also warrant that the Article contains no libellous or unlawful statements and does not contain material or instructions that might cause harm or injury;
  16. The Author(s) of an Article submitted to European Journal of Chemistry (Atlanta Publishing House LLC) must inform the Editor of any commercial associations or financial interests held by the Author (including all authors of the Article) or immediate members of the Author’s family (or families as the case may be), which might be construed as posing a conflict of interest, including but not limited to consultancies, employment, expert testimony, honoraria, retainers, stock holdings or options, and membership on boards of for-profit organizations with a financial interest in the Article;
  17. The Author is responsible for collecting disclosure information for each of the co-authors in a multi-authored paper. Editors of European Journal of Chemistry will determine what disclosures, if any, should be made available with the published Article;
  18. The Author submitting a manuscript for an Article for any study funded by an organization with a proprietary or financial interest in the outcome shall have access to all the data in that study, and to have complete responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the data, and the decision to publish. Further, where a submitted manuscript has been prepared or supported by any third party, the Author shall disclose this information to Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry) in the manuscript of the Article;
  19. The Author warrants that he or she is the sole legal and equitable owner of the Article, and that the Author is fully capable of granting the Exclusive License to Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry) and entering into this Agreement;
  20. By acknowledging consent to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, the Author unconditionally confirms that they have obtained any and all necessary copyright authorization(s) as required by law from any third party in respect of the indefinite use of copyright material of any nature, whether data, tables, text or otherwise which has been used either partially or wholly in any material submitted by the Author to Atlanta Publishing House LLC. The Author also confirms that any third party copyright materials which have been reused either partially or wholly in any way in producing material submitted to Atlanta Publishing House LLC have been fully cited in the Author’s document by identifying the original source and copyright owner and noting any terms and conditions of use of such third party, whether expressly stipulated by the third party or otherwise;
  21. In respect of any document submitted by the Author and published by Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry) through any medium the Author agrees at all times to indemnify Atlanta Publishing House LLC in respect of any loss or damage, direct or consequential, and whether arising in tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), contract or otherwise, which may be suffered by Atlanta Publishing House LLC as a direct or indirect result of any breach by the Author of any of its legal obligations or duties, whether under these terms of publication, or as the result of any negligence, breach of statutory duty or any other act or omission on the Author(s) part whatsoever. The Author agrees to pay upon demand any amount for which Atlanta Publishing House LLC may become liable as a result of any action or liability that is incurred by Atlanta Publishing House LLC in this regard, and for the avoidance of doubt, including solicitor-client costs of enforcement hereof;
  22. On acceptance of the Article for publication under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial License 4.0 International (CC-BY-NC), the Author(s) retain the copyright in their Article but assign an exclusive commercial re-use right to Atlanta Publishing House LLC. Author(s) may make any non-commercial use of their Article that they wish. However anyone wishing to make commercial use of the Article is required to seek prior written permission from the Publisher, Atlanta Publishing House LLC. For the avoidance of doubt, the exclusive commercial re-use right assigned to Atlanta Publishing House LLC extends and includes any work (or part thereof) which is provided by way of a restricted act in terms of the Copyright Act 1993 or at common law. Any commercial use, or re-use, of the Article without Atlanta Publishing House LLC’s prior written consent (which includes without limitation any referral or URL link to any Article published on Atlanta Publishing House LLC’s (European Journal of Chemistry) website for business/commercial purpose) will be a breach of these terms of publication and the Author(s) or third party acting in breach of these terms of publication will be liable to Atlanta Publishing House LLC for such amount as Atlanta Publishing House LLC would have charged for providing permission for commercial re-use of the Article, plus all legal/recovery costs in enforcing Atlanta Publishing House LLC’s exclusive commercial re-use rights and license against the party in breach;
  23. As the exclusive holder of the commercial re-use right over the Article of the Author(s), Atlanta Publishing House LLC does not pay, and does not have any obligation to pay, any monies, royalties, fee, commission or remuneration whatsoever nor does it grant or confer any financial benefit directly or indirectly to the Author(s) or any person nominated by the Author(s) in relation to the Article;
  24. A complimentary PDF file of the published paper will be supplied to all authors for non-commercial use only;
  25. These Copyright, the Rights and Atlanta Publishing House LLC Full Terms and Conditions of License must be accepted by all authors at the time of submission.

2. NON-COMMERCIAL USE OF ARTICLES PUBLISHED UNDER THE OPEN ACCESS MODEL CC-BY-NC LICENSE

  1. Atlanta Publishing House LLC publishes its Articles under a  Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial License 4.0 International (CC-BY-NC). This allows for the non-commercial reuse of the published paper so long as the published paper is fully attributed. Commercial re-use can only be undertaken with the permission of the publisher.
  2. Author(s) who submit Article to European Journal of Chemistry (Atlanta Publishing House LLC) under a CC-BY-NC license do so under the Open Access facility and pay to have their paper freely available online. Authors must accept an open access license and Atlanta Publishing House LLC Full Terms and Conditions of License agreement prior to publication, details of which are:

a) Articles published under this arrangement are made freely available online upon publication without subscription barriers to access. Users of such published Articles are entitled to use, reproduce, disseminate, or display these Articles provided that: The original authorship is properly and fully attributed; The journal (European Journal of Chemistry) and publisher (Atlanta Publishing House LLC) are attributed as the original place of publication with correct citation details given; If an original work is subsequently reproduced or disseminated not in its entirety but only in part or as a derivative work this is clearly indicated; and No articles are reproduced for commercial use without the prior consent of Atlanta Publishing House LLC and payment to Atlanta Publishing House LLC of any appropriate fee.

b) Authors are also entitled to deposit the final electronic version of the Article into an institutional or centrally organized subject repository upon publication. This is provided that they include a link to the published version of the Article on the journal’s website, and that European Journal of Chemistry and Atlanta Publishing House LLC are attributed as the original place of publication, with correct citations given.

c) This broad license has been developed to facilitate open access to, and free use of, original works of all types for personal, research and educational use but not commercial use.

3. COMMERCIAL USE OF PAPERS PUBLISHED UNDER THE OPEN ACCESS MODEL CC-BY-NC LICENSE

  1. No Articles published under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial License 4.0 International on the Atlanta Publishing House LLC (European Journal of Chemistry) website may be reproduced, in any media or format, or linked to for any commercial purpose (eg. product support, etc.) without the prior written consent of Atlanta Publishing House LLC and payment to Atlanta Publishing House LLC of an appropriate fee.
